We are currently seeking Full Time Healthcare Product Senior Manager This is a work from home position. This position is open to qualified candidates located in the continental United States. You must have a clinical background in an acute care setting or an EMS setting.

What You Need To Know

The Healthcare Product Senior Manager pursues solutions to problems with the best user experience and strongest market impact that produces value for the customer and the American Red Cross. This role connects customer needs with business goals to produce products and services that (a) address important unmet needs or (b) address met needs better than competitors. Product Managers are responsible for thinking about what users need from the product, what their experience is like, and how it could be more valuable to them. This role considers the business strategy, the execution, and the content direction. Product Managers focus on evolving or creating new or complementary products or features to address customer needs as expectations change, competitors catch-up, and markets reshape.

Working with the Director, Healthcare Product Management, the Healthcare Product Senior Manager is responsible for managing the entire product management lifecycle for Red Cross Training Services Healthcare products including leading go-to-market activities for initial product introduction, evaluating product performance and managing the product roadmap. The Senior Manager leads the entire product management process ultimately delivering high-quality programs in line with market needs and the Voice of the Customer (VoC). This includes, but is not limited to, working with product management, product marketing management, marketing, customer service, service delivery and sales teams along with external partners to establish product requirements; identifying product resource needs to meet product requirements; and managing the relationship with Product Development while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product requirements – including quality and delivery timing – are met. The Healthcare Product Senior Manager is responsible for understanding market dynamics, technology, and industry best practices as inputs to creating industry-leading programs and services.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities)

  • Focus on product management, not product development.
  • Have direct and frequent contact with actual users and customers ensuring the Voice of the Customer (VoC) informs product decisions and strategy.
  • Gather input and ideas from sales, marketing, and customer success as part of a customer feedback system,
  • Represent the customer and their requirements internally by answering customer-oriented questions and writing detailed user stories and requirements that capture what a user does, needs to do, or wishes to do
  • Manage the product roadmap across the healthcare and emergency medical services (EMS) segments, outlining what new features or products will be introduced, when, and at what price
  • Define, document, prioritize, and communicate business requirements throughout all stages of product lifecycle.
  • Manage P&L for healthcare products including tracking of financial performance.
  • Identifying market opportunities and developing new product business cases
  • Analyze information and formulate product solutions and strategies that are presented and refined in collaboration with product development.
  • Explain and effectively communicate the context and vision for new or revised products or features to the people who build them (product development) and the people who sell them (marketing, sales)
  • Determine appropriate timeline for each project; evaluate scope of work and ideal market release timing to ensure realistic product roadmaps.
  • Author requirements documents (focusing on business requirements) including a definition of a minimally viable product (MVP), collaborating with product development to come-up with high-level cost estimates
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for every product.
  • Enable effective product launches and ensure full understanding of the value proposition across the entire organization.
  • Measure ongoing product effectiveness and validate success, direct pivots (i.e., messaging, implementation, etc.) if needed.
  • Evaluate market trends and competitor’s strategies to deliver recommendations on product pricing and positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing to coordinate marketing information, events, conferences, demos, launches, and press.
  • Answer queries from customer success, marketing and sales teams about content or product functionality
  • Lead and manage external development and testing vendors required to deliver products into the Training Services marketplace.
  • Perform market research and competitive analyses of competitive digital landscapes, providing key stats and summaries to help team forge overall business plan.
  • Manage external UAT team through all stages of participation, from installation of product to reporting issues, ensuring all issues are resolved prior to product launch.
  • Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday standard business hours.

The salary range for this position is $91,080-121,000. Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s degree in business or related field preferred.
    • Certified Product Manager preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required:
    • 3+ years of product management experience,
    • Experience managing healthcare learning products preferred,
    • Computer skills: Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook),
    • Cognitive skills: Ability to apply judgment to prioritize work, ability to understand, follow, and recall instructions, excellent analytical and global skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills,
    • Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must demonstrate: a professional work ethic; flexibility; strong interpersonal skills; and promote team building relationships with peers, hospital and public safety leaders, clinical staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated experience building and managing financial models to understand the drivers of the business.
Ability to travel 25-35%.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
